There’s been a huge resurgence of interest in the 70s and 80s disco scene over the past year or two and for those who want to party like its Studio 54, this Disco Tour sees several prominent artists come together on one bill. Shaun Keaveny recently presented a disco special on Radio 6 music, and Bush Hall in west London sees a return of the popular Lost in Disco on May 19. Among the big names from the era appearing on the Disco Tour are Sister Sledge, Tavares, Rose Royce, Boney M (featuring original member Maizie Williams), George McCrae and Odyssey. Eddy Amoo from The Real Thing sadly passed away last week so the band have had to back out. Replacing them on the tour will be Eban Brown, the former lead singer of multi-platinum group The Stylistics, who will be performing some of the band’s biggest hits.
