And (personal favourites here) the wonderful Alabama 3 will be making a very welcome return.
Skunk Anansie, and punk duo Slaves (below) will headline on Friday. The unique Magical Sounds tent with its mix of global psychedelia and dance will feature Banco de Gaia, Transglobal Underground, Ed Tangent and Hebden Bridge’s very own Tetchi.
Tickets are predictably going fast, and congratulations to Bearded Theory for keeping the tickets affordable – a weekend pass with camping is only £110.25. That’s for FOUR days of music plus as much revelry as you can cope with – and Thornbridge Brewery will as usual be on site with pub priced beers.
As a massive thank you to all loyal festival goers, Thursdays bonus Pallet stage line-up will feature virtually the entire 2008 Saturday Main Stage bill. Appearing will be these Bearded favourites: Dreadzone, 3 Daft Monkeys, Tarantism, True Deceivers, Hobo Jones & The Junkyards Dogs and more with Don Letts presiding, to help celebrate the 10th anniversary year.
There’s more to come of course – such as the dress up theme for the weekend (not to mention creating your very own beard). It’s fake beards by the way, so ladies, don’t be shy.
