Macy Gray has lent her sultry summery vocals to a new single by Busty and the Bass, out on 24th June. The song, called Out of Love, is taken from the upcoming album. The single also comes with an accompanying electronic remix from British DJ/producer, Harrison (out July 1st).

Busty and the Bass are a Canadian soul collective – the new album also features George Clinton with production by Neal Pogue, whose producer credentials also feature Earth, Wind and Fire and Outkast among others.

Getting Macy onboard was thanks to producer Neal Pogue. The band have been performing a cover of Macy Gray’s hit I Try for years in their live show. In 2016, the band recorded a performance of the track, Macy saw it, and tweeted about it. When the band began working with producer Neal on the new album they discussed wanting to work with Macy and he was able to help set it up. The result, Out of Love now finally gets its release.
