Manchester Psych Fest adds some very welcome new artists to the lineup. The event takes place on Saturday 4th September with artists appearing at several venues dotted around the city.
You’ll be able to see experimental outfit BEAK>, psych-pop duo Audiobooks, Bristol lo-fi folk artist Clara Mann, and Canadian psych-folk musician Dana Gavanski.
Headliners as previously reported include Stereolab, Girl Band, Dry Cleaning, Kokoroko, Kikagaku Moyo, Stealing Sheep and Whyte Horses.
Unfortunately, due to COVID travel complications, Tinariwen and Skullcrusher can no longer play the festival.
Other new additions include John, Mewn, Qlowski, Regressive Left, Rosalie Cunningham (Purson) and Solis. In total there are over 60 artists and DJs on the lineup.
Eight venues are taking part – O2 Ritz, Gorilla, YES, Deaf Institute, Night People, Factory, Anthony Burgess Foundation and Hatch.
Manchester Psych Fest will once again feature art installations from a selection of local artists and illustrators. Naturally there will be pop-up street food stalls, merchandise and more.
