Pictish Trail have plenty of tour dates lined up for this year, including some festival appearances – Green Man festival features, as always. Walk the Line and Lost Map present: Leyline Shows in South West of England with support from Lost Map artist Bas Jan, plus a DJ set by Guto Pryce of Super Furry Animals.

Isle-of-Eigg dwelling electro-acoustic psych-pop wonder Pictish Trail AKA Johnny Lynch’s most recent acclaimed album Island Family explores connections to place and time from the viewpoint of his life on a remote Scottish island. Which makes him a natural choice of headliner for Ley Line – a quest for myth, magic, music and merriment around the ancient landscape of south-west England. It’s presented by Weird Walk, a journal of wanderings and wonderings from the British Isles, in participation with Lost Map Records.

Bas Jan is the vehicle for harpist, and Jarvis Cocker associate, Serafina Steer, violinists Emma Smith and Charlie Stock and percussionist Rachel Horwood. Their new work Baby U Know is out now via Lost Map
