The Summer of Love
On May 22 Blacktooth Productions will be going back to the Sixties with an evening of readings, music and anecdotes. Expect lashings of peace, love and liberation alongside a celebration of key personalities. The readings include: Stoner talk from Woodstock ● At home with RD Laing ● The Dead meet Timothy Leary ● The 14 Hour Technicolour Dream at Ally Pally ● Paris street slogans, 1968 ● High society: a Chelsea party ● London happenings ● Music from Syd to the String Band.
A backward glance toward, and a celebration of, the radical writing , politics, and music of the late 60’s.
We will also be drawing on memoirs of the time and extracts from the underground press to provide an authentic voice, and a source of amusement.
‘The Summer of Love’ takes place on Sunday, May 22 at the Earl Haig Memorial Hall, 18 Elder Avenue, London N8 at 8pm. Doors open 7.30pm.
