January Blues Festival 3 – 23 January

Jan­u­ary Blues Fes­ti­val is a month of … well, live blues… at 229, Great Port­land Street in cen­tral Lon­don, W1. Glas­gow’s annu­al win­ter fes­ti­val has expand­ed into a mul­ti­tude of gen­res over its 30-year his­to­ry and now includes acoustic, tra­di­tion­al, indie, Amer­i­cana, jazz, blues, orches­tral, exper­i­men­tal and more. Fara, Gnoss, Zoe Con­way, The Mag­ic Num­bers, Scot­tish Cham­ber Orches­tra, Lucin­da Williams and Rumac are just a few names lined up for ear­ly 2026. Celtic Con­nec­tions tick­ets here

Independent Venue Week 26 Jan – 1 Feb

Erm ok not strict­ly a fes­ti­val but #IVW is one of the most impor­tant weeks of the music cal­en­dar, espe­cial­ly dur­ing these times of such uncer­tain­ty for our inde­pen­dent grass­roots venues. Get out and sup­port your local music palace – and par­take of this annu­al feast of music which sees numer­ous venues host a whole slew of artists. Sounds St Leonards presents Week­end Music For Mid­win­ter fes­ti­val with music that spans folk, choral and acoustic. Hap­pen­ing for the fourth year at Trec­co Bay Hol­i­day Park in South Wales is Plan­et Rock presents The Win­ter’s End fes­ti­val. And for the first time ever, there will be a Winter’s End Warm-up night on the Thurs­day (29th Jan­u­ary) fea­tur­ing three bands on the main stage. Indoor Festival of Folk 7 February

The Essex Ska & Reggae festival 21 February

Immersed Festival 5 March to April

Immersed fes­ti­val heads back to Cardiff for an action-packed fusion of music, film, art, fash­ion and  the­atre. There’s a month-long cel­e­bra­tion of cre­ativ­i­ty and imag­i­na­tion, fea­tur­ing over 30 bands and artists across four themed stages. Head­lin­ing this year’s fes­ti­val are acclaimed six-piece CVC, bring­ing their elec­tri­fy­ing sound to Cardiff’s Tramshed on 7th March. Tick­ets for Immersed

Country to Country 13–15 March

Brick Lane Jazz Festival 24 – 26 April

There’s a stag­ger­ing num­ber of artists tak­ing part in this year’s three-day Brick Lane Jazz Fes­ti­val – Bri­an Back­son, Kyra, Foot­shoot­er, Ali­ci, Boni­ta, King­zoogian­na and many more. MPF2026. Man­ches­ter Punk Fes­ti­val will be tak­ing place across East­er week­end, 3–5 April and there will be over 140 acts play­ing across 7 venues. Dead To Me, Clob­ber, Perkie, Slow Gherkin, Dave Hause, The Men­stru­al Cramps, Soap­box and loads more. Tak­ing place in Glas­gow, Coun­ter­flows Fes­ti­val is back with four days of live music from some of the most inter­est­ing artists work­ing on the fringes today. This edi­tion will fea­ture an inter­na­tion­al pro­gram of per­for­mances, new projects, col­lab­o­ra­tions and com­mis­sions, club nights, hang-outs, dis­cus­sions and more. Coun­ter­flows festival

The UK’s pre­mier exper­i­men­tal music fes­ti­val, Super­son­ic returns to Dig­beth, Birm­ing­ham where the film pro­gramme, work­shops and exhi­bi­tions are as para­mount to the event’s atmos­phere as the live per­for­mances. Desertfest 15 – 17 May

The UK’s pre­mier inde­pen­dent Ston­er Rock, Doom, Psych & Sludge fes­ti­val that takes place in Cam­den at five venues, The Devon­shire Arms, The Black Heart, The Round­house, Under­world and the Elec­tric Ball­room. Clutch,  Green Lung, Alu­nah , Gnome, Zig Zags, The Grey, Bis­mut , Instar Sling and Nomadic Reign are just a few of the artists head­ing for Desert­fest’s stages. Tick­ets for Desert­fest here

Highways 15 – 17 May

High­ways is a fes­ti­val of Amer­i­cana and coun­try music held over two days at the Roy­al Albert Hall in Lon­don. The two-day fest also promis­es after shows, late night spe­cials, a song­writer gath­er­ing, and coun­try for kids. Car­ly Pearce, Jim Laud­erdale, Emmy­lou Har­ris and Kaitlin Butts – plus more – are per­form­ing. Dot to Dot festival 23–34 May
