Victorious Festival makes its first announcements for summer 2022. The opening day, Friday, will see The Stereophonics headline. Their 12th album called Oochya! is set for release in the spring. Also Mancs rockers James are set to appear.
Saturday sees The Wombats and Sugababes appear, while on Sunday it’s the turn of Nothing But Thieves and kitchen-disco queen Sophie Ellis-Bextor. In fact it looks like Victorious have responded to criticism for their initial male-heavy lineup last year and now have the likes of Self Esteem, Becky Hill and Baby Queen on board, amongst others set to be revealed in the second wave.
Other artists appearing over the weekend are Sheffield rockers Little Man Tate, plus Sam Ryder and New York’s We Are Scientists.
Speaking about next year’s festival Andy Marsh, festival director, said: ‘‘It’s nice to get excited about Victorious this side of Christmas. We’ve revealed here a little taste of what to expect next year with some massive acts confirmed but there’s so much still to come.
Early bird tickets for Victorious Festival are on sale now from just £40 per day (fees apply)
