Brighton festival announces its seventh edition of Mutations, taking place on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th November 2025. There’s an exciting mix of established and new international artists, all performing across nine of the city’s Grassroots Music Venues.
Headlining this year’s festival are – on Friday – post-punk quartet Dry Cleaning, fresh from recording their third album with Cate Le Bon. On Saturday, local legends Lambrini Girls return to Mutations to headline with their unique brand of chaotic punk rock.
Gritty, poetic post-punks Big Special, art-rock trio Mary in the Junkyard, noise-rock powerhouse Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs; breakout act Divorce, alt-rock quartet Keo, immersive shoegazers Bdrmm, Welsh garage-Indie band The Bug Club; post-punk/no-wave heroes Ditz, noise rock duo GANS; alt emo-punk rockers University, avant-pop trio Stealing Sheep, and skate-punks Upchuck.



Other artists appearing are Adult DVD, Courting, Ist Ist, VLURE, Fickle Friends and it’s good to see that The Orielles are also performing. There’s also a further 75 more inspiring artists set to perform.

As at previous years, Wristband Exchange is located at the East Street entrance to the Chalk venue. There will be Mutations Festival barriers outside leading the way. Wristband Exchange will be open during Friday – 2:00pm to 10:00pm and Saturday – 12:00pm to 10:00pm.
