We’ve become fans of French-Canadian band Choses Sauvages with their upbeat brand of dance-punk. Their single called ‘En joue’ caught our attention last year. Now a new track just released called Cours Toujours offers another glimpse into the Francophone band’s sound. There’s a touch of Steely Dan to the opening notes before the track breaks into a compulsively danceable track with a funky groove and a driving bassline.
The band’s front man Félix Bélisle explains the song is ‘a new wave-inspired track about self-reflection. It feels as if one identifies a problem at the core of their being without being able to explain it.’
The band’s next album, entitled Choses Sauvages III, is set to be released via Audiogram on 28th March. Their sound has won them praise aplenty in their home country of Canada, as well as a reputation for their explosive live performances.
