I have been a fan of the Daylight Music Saturday afternoon concert series for many years since their early home at London’s Union Chapel. Daylight Music, run by Arctic Circle, has been presenting a huge and diverse range of musicians over the 17 years they’ve been in existence. Taking a couple of hours out of Saturday to listen to live music with a cup of tea and a delicious piece of cake is just magical. It’s also good to support this brilliant endeavour.
The next one to catch my eye is on March 28th with instrumental trio Haiku Salut, Bristol-based collective Jilk and improviser Meg Morley. It’s happening at St John’s in Leytonstone, a lovely space to relax and listen to live music. They also have a Piano Day coming up in April with Lorenz Okello, Taz Modi + Mahya Mahroomi.
