Frazey Ford now to appear at Green Man festival 2022.
Fluttery, fragile yet with a quiet power, when Frazey Ford starts to sing, the vocals that emerge are something distinct and unique. The Vancouver artist sings right from the soul, her voice eloquently expressing and encompassing all the emotions of a life that has not been easy. She has released a new song called Saul, written about her son, which was originally recorded for the album.
And following huge acclaim for her 2020 album U kin B the Sun, Frazey Ford starts an 11-date UK tour.
Frazey explains: ‘Saul’ is a languid ode to motherhood, “simply about the devastating amount of love you have for a child”. Her tremulous voice lavishes a deliberate bass-laden groove on this lone outtake from her 2020 album U Kin B the Sun. She began writing the song not long after the birth of Saul – who features as the clouds in Frazey’s recent video for “U kin B the Sun” – and only completed recently, the song is restrained yet cathartic.
Following her resounding return to the stage across the USA in October, Frazey brings her dazzling live presentation of U kin B the Sun to the UK beginning November 17, with Canadian and European dates in early 2022. Tour dates below:
