Alt-rock band SINKA release their new single Skies on 19th March, the second track from upcoming EP Take Me To The Skies which is released on April 16th. The Watford-based trio comprises Shaun Sewell-Sears (vocals and guitar), Matt Smith (bass) and Jack Wright (drums). They released the first single Messiah  back in February.

Having self-produced their debut EP, F.W.Y.K in April 2020, the band has reunited with Elliott Millman, producer of their breakout single Fussy which picked up airplay on national radio including BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show, Planet Rock, Amazing Radio and more. BBC Introducing’s Danny Fullbrook compared them to Royal Blood.

Bitter Artwork for Sinka

Front man Shaun Sewell-Sears says, ”It’s been great to work with Elliott again – he understands us and has a way of capturing the raw power of the band, balancing it with a polished production while not losing our live energy.” That live energy was on display throughout 2019 when relentless touring led to two sets at Camden Rocks Festival and a run of headline shows. The band deliver a powerhouse sound but there’s a lyrical and poetic side to their lyrics, giving the band an extra and unexpected dimension.

Hopefully with gigs resuming soon, Sinka will get the chance to find themselves back on the circuit again. They’ve built quite a reputation for exciting live shows.
