PLAYING GLASTONBURY ON 25TH JUNE.

The international collective Snowapple has just unveiled My Body, a powerful new single from their forthcoming album Utopia, due out June 13th.

Described by the group as the album’s “focus track,” My Body was released on April 18th and is charged with a compelling sense of urgency. It opens with a rhythmic pulse – stamping and clapping driving the beat. The chorus rises with a bold, defiant energy, as a chorus of women’s voices cry out with unmistakable intent.

The track breaks into a spoken-word interlude that adds a note of intimacy before building momentum again. Each return to the chorus feels subtly evolved: clearer, stronger, and more emotionally resonant.

At its core, My Body is an anthem of self-care and self-possession, a visceral expression of womanhood and identity. The track delves into the profound connection between the physical and emotional self, exploring the complexities of ownership and autonomy. As the lyrics hauntingly reflect: “I never saw my body as part of me, / It was always there, / Running right beside me, / A shadow to my heart, / Like a shadow to my heart.”

Snowapple dives fearlessly into this duality, creating a track that is as thought-provoking as it is musically striking.
