If you’re thinking of heading to Wickham festival, better get your skates on. The strongest lineup ever has seen a surge in sales. Not surprising when their headliners include Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Lucinda Williams, The Proclaimers, Judy Collins, Graham Nash and Kiefer Sutherland. This is a real family festival but with an impressive and high calibre lineup.
Says organiser Peter Chegwyn: “There is a very real possibility that for the first time ever all four days could sell out completely. We still have tickets for all nights but people should buy in advance as there is a strong chance we won’t have tickets on sale on the gate. We have already sold more tickets at this stage of the year than ever before – hardly surprising given the quality of the line-up. There has been huge interest with people coming from all parts of the country and across Europe. I really believe this will be our best festival yet.”

Other top acts include: Alabama 3, Ralph McTell, Afro Celt Sound System. The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Steve Knightley, Stanley Jordan, Grace Petrie and many others.
There will also be late-night comedy for those who want to stay up and enjoy another drink before turning in. And with an additional 28 acres of camping provided, there will be more space than ever before.
Weekend tickets are now on sale at just £160 (£180 after July 1) per adult or £80 (£90 after July 1) for each Under 16 with Under 10’s admitted completely free. Adult day tickets are £40 for August 1 and £55 for each of the other three days; children aged 10–16 are half price. Weekend camping can be booked at £30 per tent or caravan/motorhome.
Tickets are on sale at Wickham Festival – August 1–4.
