Anoth­er storm­ing (not stormy) day at Beard­ed The­o­ry with too much going on to see it all. Girl­band returned to BT with a great open­ing set, The Del­tones played the Mead­ow stage and it was great to final­ly see The Vase­lines. Swim Deep­’s intense, wist­ful num­bers were per­fect for the leafy Wood­land stage.

Dread­zone got the crowd danc­ing, as did Du Blonde, while The Slow Read­ers Club fans chant­ed that chant­i­ng that peren­ni­al refrain… “Slow Read­ers, Slow Readers”.

Antony Szmierek is a superb per­former, bounc­ing on and off the stage, despite his ‘dicky hip’. So he calmed down and read some of his poet­ry. And Katy J Pear­son fin­ished the night with a love­ly set on the Woodlands.

Good to hear The Vase­lines signed the lads’ poster (see below).
