TDC Tunes electronica night at The Intimate Space – perhaps the smallest venue in the UK. You can only seat 25 in the atmospheric church tower in Hornsey, north London so this might be true.

Opening the evening was analog leper with a dramatic piece that sounded like a raging storm. Jeevan S Khaira recited some of his own poetry – his first reading – from his Postcards from the Past collection. TDC Tunes, who has a weekly show on Brixton Radio, created pieces on his modular synthesizer and copper kettles, improvised works that vary from uplifting dancey pieces to moody, ambient soundscapes.

The music and poetry were elevated by the visuals (courtesy of 2 digit visuals), creating an immersive experience within the tower.

For the last number, music from both synth artists worked with the poetry, Jeevan choosing Percy Bysshe Shelley’s sonnet Ozymandias for a dramatic finale.

The atmospheric venue has hosted several unique and memorable events; Fred Deakin of Lemon Jelly held an album launch here in 2019 link here.
